Tasks and maintenance
Use tasks for maintenance, race prep, or build work. Add a due date, a repeat, or a target like a mileage reading.
Where to find your tasks
In Garage, Tasks lists open tasks by build, with a red count for overdue ones. On a build, open Feed, choose Tasks, and tap Show all tasks for the full list.
Create a task
- In the full task list, tap New task.
- Enter a Task name. Add details (optional) is for notes.
- Under Settings, tap Build to pick the car. It starts as Unassigned.
- Turn on Public if you want (off by default).
- Set a due date, repeat, or target.
- Tap Add.
Due dates and repeating tasks
Tap Due Date to pick a day, and the x to clear it.
Repeat is for recurring maintenance. It defaults to Never. When you complete a repeating task, PitStop makes a fresh copy, due counted from the moment you complete it. It keeps the name, description, build, target, and subtasks.
Targets
A target ties a task to a numeric build info value, like Mileage. The task shows progress, and counts as overdue once you hit it. You need a build picked first.
- Under Target, tap Due Target and pick a numeric build info entry.
- Choose a Condition: equals, increases by, decreases by, is below, or is above.
- Enter a Value.
Drives can move targets forward, since PitStop can suggest mileage updates. See Notifications.
Subtasks
Break big jobs into steps with Subtasks. Tap the circle to check one off. Subtasks have no due dates of their own.
Complete a task
Open the task and tap Complete task. The button becomes Uncomplete task if you change your mind.
The task page
It shows the name, build, description, and subtasks. Due dates read like due today, in 3 days, or overdue by 2 days. Repeating tasks get a Recurring task badge.
The ellipsis menu has Share, Edit, and Delete.
Filter your list
Tap the filter button atop Tasks for Filter Tasks:
- Build: All or one car.
- Completed: Incomplete Only (default), Completed Only, or Both.
- Archived: Unarchived Only (default), Archived Only, or Both.
Reset restores defaults. Tiles are labeled Overdue, Completed, or Archived.
