Notifications

The inbox

Open the Notifications tab (it may be under More). Two groups:

• Activity: likes, comments, replies, mentions, crew messages, crew invites, new followers.
• Builds: suggested changes to your build info, grouped by build.

Tap one to open what it's about. That marks it read. Several messages from one crew channel roll into one notification.

Read, clear, and filter

• Swipe left for Read / Unread and Clear. In Cleared, swipe for Restore.
• The ellipsis menu has View (All notifications, Only unread, Only actionable, Cleared) and Sort (Newest first, Most unread first).
• Mark all as read and Clear all do it in bulk. Cleared items aren't gone; check Cleared.

Notifications you can act on

• Crew invites: Join Crew or Decline.
• Build info suggestions: after a drive, PitStop may suggest a new value for something like Mileage. Accept applies it (edit the value first if you want), Dismiss skips it.

Handled ones show Applied or Declined. The ellipsis menu has Accept all pending. Builds set to auto-apply show up already applied.

Push notifications

iPhone only. You get a push for mentions, comments and replies, crew invites, crew messages, new build followers, and build info suggestions. Likes stay in the inbox.

The app badge shows unread count. Tapping a push opens the post, channel, or inbox.

Each crew channel has its own setting: All Messages, Mentions Only (default), or Muted.

Allowing notifications

PitStop asks during first-run setup (Allow Notifications). Change it later under Settings, then App Permissions. If you declined, tap the row's button to jump to iOS Settings.

It's optional. Drives need Location and Bluetooth.

Choose what you hear about

Under Settings, Privacy & Notifications, NOTIFICATIONS, each switch saves automatically. All are on by default except Likes:

• Mentions
• Comments & Replies
• Crew Invites
• Crew Messages
• Build Follows
• Build Info Suggestions
• Likes (off)

Email

No activity emails. You only get account emails: welcome and verification, new-address verification, password reset, and password changed.

PitStop doesn't send task reminders. Overdue tasks are flagged in the app.
